Have you ever had to deal with 8 horses that are sick and tired of being cooped up in a 12x12 stall? Let's just say that cleaning their stalls got worse and worse over time as they began pacing endlessly. The 16 inches of snowfall made it impossible to let them out to pasture until today. The snow began to melt, the sun was out (briefly) and horses began to play.
As soon as it got warmer, my sister's horses all rolled so much in the snow that their blankets were soaked. Then they realized the solar fence had not been working, escaped, ate the bird feed and fell asleep in the hay barn.
