If it's not one thing, it's another

I swear someone does not want us to build this house. We got our permits and then a snow storm hit. Finally the snow has been melting and we've been looking forward to starting the foundation.

Wade gets up this morning, goes outside to feed the horses and finds that the hillside behind us has slid down into a big muddy mess right behind the area that we started for the foundation. That MIGHT have been alright but it exposed a spring/waterfall/stream of some sort that is now filling up around the foundation area and shows no sign of stopping. GAH!!!! These pics really don't do it justice as the water doesn't show up very well but there they are.

Who's kids are these?

From the mouth of a six year old

We all know that Tanner is smart as a whip and sarcastic too. Today as the whole family is driving to town both boys were being very loud and obnoxious. No surprise there. After I yelled at them to be quiet for the tenth time, Wade told Tanner that if he didn't be quiet right now and quit talking he would take his DS away. Tanner promptly replied that he can say what he wants because "you're not the boss of my words!"

He's kind of right. LOL!

Freedom

Have you ever had to deal with 8 horses that are sick and tired of being cooped up in a 12x12 stall? Let's just say that cleaning their stalls got worse and worse over time as they began pacing endlessly. The 16 inches of snowfall made it impossible to let them out to pasture until today. The snow began to melt, the sun was out (briefly) and horses began to play.

So it begins

I decided that I always have so much going on in my life and never remember whom I've told or what I've said so a blog is what I need!

A little background. All of us have been living in a trailer for the last two years while we go thru all the red tape of building a new house. Doesn't matter that we are flood victims, the county still moves slowly. So, we finally get our permits and what happens? Massive snow fall! Now we wait. Again.

Anyway, I'm new to this whole blogging thing so it might take a little bit for me to figure it all out. Please be patient!
